Come join us for a slower Fat Bike Snow ride along Des Plaines River Trail and Greenway. The Des Plaines River Trail and Greenway has become our non-single track favorite trail in the area as it follows a river and not an old railroad grade so there are hundreds of turns which makes the ride more interesting.. The Des Plaines River trail winds through beautiful forests along The Des Plaines River and goes though many Forest Preserves with stunning water views. The NWS reports snow totals to 5 to 6 inches in Gurnee and Wadsworth, but I have no idea how much stuck to the trail and how much remains. Due to the real possibility of the trail getting soft, more narrow tires will cause ruts, so fat bikes with 4 inch tires or larger only please. Distance will depend on trail conditions and we may shorten the route and will abandon if causing damage.
