Calendar - Event View

This is a two day bike-packing trail ride from Elmhurst to Morris Illinois and back.

We will ride 66-68 miles with all our gear, food, and water on our bikes to Gebhard Woods State Park, Morris Illinois. We will start from Elmhurst and ride thru Clarendon Hills, Joliet, and Channahan along Centennial & I & M Canal trails. We will take short breaks at Waterfall Glen (MP 19), in Joliet (MP 38), and at McKinley Woods (MP 54). For those riders who prefer a shorter ride, can join me in-route at Waterfall Glen (MP 19) or at Ronald D Lehman Community Park (MP 46). Hotel stay option is available near by the Gebhard Woods State Park in Morris. The route is a combination of paved roads, paved and limestone scree trails. Any type of touring bike with at least 28mm tires or a mountain or fat tire bike are recommended.
