Fun and conversation-oriented, trail (crushed limestone, or paved) ride with very little street riding. We ride the Great Western Trail-to-Illinois Prairie Path loop on a weekly schedule like clockwork. This ride proceeds at a pace in which conversation is highly encouraged, and easily accomplished. Night lights, front and back, needed. Mountain bikes and fat bikes encouraged, but even a road bike will work fine. Absolutely no one dropped. // We have a small bathroom break 10 miles out, and a larger break 18 miles into the ride. Our second break, in Wheaton, is next to at least four eateries, including a mouth-watering ice cream shop. If you haven't jumped in yet, the H-D-H train is on its way! Hop aboard! (Some folks jump on and off this ride mid-journey because it has a very predictable and accessible route.)
